Denkenberger Wins Top Prize in AI Challenge

ACEP鈥檚 David Denkenberger, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, co-authored a paper with Alexey Turchin, of the, titled "" that won a in GoodAI's General Artificial Intelligence Challenge.

The General AI Challenge is made up of multiple rounds, each designed to tackle a crucial research problem in human-level AI development. GoodAI will give out $5million in prize money over the following years.

Denkenberger and Turchin won a prize of $3,000 in the first round, which had a primary objective to find a solution or set of solutions for mitigating the risks associated with the AI race.
