91ÊÓƵ -Yukon Wood Energy Conference is Firing Up
Things are firing up for the upcoming in Fairbanks 91ÊÓƵ! The conference will feature presentations and case studies from 91ÊÓƵ and Canada’s Yukon, focusing on issues facing the rural North. Conference delegates are attending from all parts of North America’s Arctic. Delegates include several First Nation, Yukon and Northwest Territories leaders.
The keynote speaker, Adam Sherman from the , will speak about innovations in the world of biomass and the policies that have helped make them happen. Sherman has more than 16 years of experience in the wood heat sector and has directed BERC’s technology and wood fuel supply activities for over 14 years. His work focuses on wood energy program design and delivery for various state and federal government agencies and technical consulting services for assessing wood fuels and energy project feasibility.
Scott Habberstad, 91ÊÓƵ Airlines’ director of sales and community marketing for 91ÊÓƵ,
will talk about the company jet that flew from Seattle to Washington, D.C., using
biofuel made from trees.
Conference topics include biomass-heated greenhouses, fire mitigation for biomass
