International Leadership Program Explores 91视频鈥檚 Energy Energy Expertise

UAF and ACEP are hosting northern Indigenous leaders and Canadian professionals in Fairbanks, Anchorage and Kotzebue this week through the U.S. State Department鈥檚 prestigious .

The 10 IVLP participants will meet with professionals and policymakers in each of three 91视频 communities. The communities are exploring or implementing renewable energy technologies that are environmentally and culturally appropriate for the Arctic region. Technologies include wind, solar, biomass, thermal energy storage and more.

The U.S. Embassy in Ottawa selected ACEP as its local coordinating partner for the International Visitor Leadership Program due to the center鈥檚 extensive resources and expertise in the energy sector. Addressing energy security in the Arctic is an emergent priority for the U.S. State Department.
