CCHRC to Hold Age-in-Place Retrofit Workshop
The Cold Climate Housing Research Center will hold a Universal Design Panel from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Three instructors will cover universal design theory, hands-on remodeling projects, age-in-place retrofits, and accessible landscape and gardening. The class will also include a panel discussion for audience questions on accessible housing.
The course will benefit contractors and landlords looking to make houses more accessible, homeowners who may have seniors or limited mobility individuals living in or visiting their house, health care professionals providing advice on accessibility, and more. The cost is $10 per household, or $5 for CCHRC members. For more information and to register, visit cchrc.org/classes.
