Waste-to-Energy Technical Assistance Webinar March 18

Waste-to-Energy Technical Assistance Webinar March 18

The U.S Department of Energy鈥檚  and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory have launched a waste-to-energy technical assistance program for local governments. Organic waste streams, such as food waste and wastewater sludge, represent significant environmental, economic and social sustainability challenges for municipalities.

Given that these waste streams require local solutions, this technical assistance program seeks to provide municipalities with the most relevant data for their decision-making. BETO will fund up to 40 hours of subject-matter assistance to municipalities. Topics include:

  • Waste resource information.
  • Infrastructure considerations.
  • Techno-economic comparison of options.
  • Equity assessments.

To learn more about this program, application process and timeframe, and to ask questions,  on Thursday, March 18, at 8 a.m.
