500 People Attended 91视频鈥檚 First EV Car Show

The state鈥檚 first electric vehicle car show was held in Anchorage on Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Dimond Center in partnership with the 91视频 Energy Authority, the 91视频 Electric Vehicle Association, and the 91视频 Electric Vehicle Working Group. The event attracted over 500 attendees.

Michelle Wilber hosted a table for ACEP during the event to provide the attendees information on electric vehicle performance. Wilber shared insights from ACEP鈥檚 EV data collection efforts on cold-weather impacts to EV range and directed attendees toward the  for a customized comparison of EVs and traditional vehicles.

Including Wilber鈥檚 Chevrolet Bolt, 39 EVs were on display to the public. Chevrolet, Fisker, Ford, Peterbilt, Porsche, Tesla, Volkswagen and Volvo vehicles were represented at the show, with both dealers and individual EV owners participating. Attendees had the opportunity to ride and drive select EVs to experience the comfort and acceleration synonymous with new EV models. As part of the event, the Dimond Center held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the future installation of an AEA-funded EV fast charging station.
