ACEP Teams Up with REAP and 365 SMART
The National Science Foundation project researchers are teaming up with Renewable Energy 91视频 Project in February and March to offer a Solar Challenge course for home-schooled students in grades five through eight.
The course is offered through .
MicroFEWs researchers will present snapshots of real-life research. REAP will follow with curriculum delivery. Students will be introduced to concepts of electricity and solar energy production by building a solar-powered structure. At the end of the course, students will submit their design and its performance to a national, online competition.
UAF Summer Sessions & Lifelong Learning created the 365 SMART (Science, Math, Art, Recreation and Technology) Academy, which offers virtual courses to students in the home-schooled community to supplement their academic curriculum. The courses consist of YouTube videos, Zoom class meetings and kits of materials to provide hands-on activities at home.
The MicroFEWs research project investigates how renewable energy can improve food, energy and water security in 91视频鈥檚 remote communities.
