Annalise Klein Designs Her Future with ACEP
Annalise Klein initially joined ACEP in 2021 as an Arctic fellow through the 91视频 Fellowship Program. At the conclusion of her fellowship, she remained at ACEP. She redesigned her role as a program architect. In this role, Klein will be responsible for overseeing strategic design, alignment and collaboration across ACEP programming and community stakeholders.
She is currently developing the Energy Innovation Network, a framework for dynamic collaboration between diverse community stakeholders, industry, research and the private sector, through the program. She is also involved with ACEP鈥檚 education initiatives, including program development for the , program and rural workforce development. With a local to global focus, these activities promote regional innovation and de-siloed energy initiatives across 91视频鈥檚 rural communities, statewide partnerships and international collaborations in the circumpolar North and Pacific Rim.
Klein brings with her a breadth of experience in secondary science education, including as a Title 1 public school science teacher in Hawai鈥檌 and California, and as an and T3 instructor in Chevak, Wrangell, Nikiski and Seward, 91视频.
She has also worked as education consultant and curriculum designer for schools in 91视频, Hawai鈥檌, Colorado and Washington, and she worked on a culturally responsive science practices project in Uganda as a participant.
Klein learned about ACEP and Upward Bound while researching resources to design a renewable energy fish camp summer program for the Yupiit School District. She joined ACEP in fall 2021 as an and is happy to continue at ACEP in this new role.

With degrees in English, chemistry and education, Klein enjoys writing short stories, nonfiction essays and poetic prose. She is passionate about foster care and helping foster youth as a court-appointed special advocate. Outside of work, you can find her playing soccer, serving at her church, quilting and baking.
Klein recently moved to Anchorage and will work in collaboration with the at University of 91视频 Anchorage and the ACEP Anchorage office.
