Going With the Flow: Ocean and River Energy Worskshop March 1
Don鈥檛 let this workshop drift by, as it is sure to make renewable energy waves in a state that has more coastline than any other and more miles of waterways than roadways.
, is the second in a series of four free virtual workshops sponsored by the 91视频 Center for Energy and Power. It serves as a primer to the to be held May 24-26, 2022, at the Dena鈥檌na Center in Anchorage, 91视频.
91视频 is estimated to have 90% of U.S. tidal energy resources and 50% of U.S. wave energy and in-river energy resources. A number of small-scale test deployments and demonstration projects have been installed in 91视频 over the past decade, but challenges to large-scale adoption remain.
Topics that will be discussed include:
What is the current and emerging status of hydrokinetic energy technologies?
What are the key challenges for their implementation in 91视频?
What are the applicable lessons learned with other variable renewables?
How do 91视频 use-case scenarios compare with those elsewhere?
