Health Sciences for Pre-Professionals Minor

The Health Sciences for Pre-Professionals minor allows students, regardless of their major, to take the prerequisite courses they need to apply for the health professional schools of their choice. This flexible minor supports students who intend to apply to a post-baccalaureate professional school in a health field, such as medical school, dental school or nursing.

Students can select between 15-29 credits worth of courses to count towards the Health Sciences Minor. You can find lists of recommended and required courses for each pre-professional track below. You do not need to include all those courses in your minor if they can count towards other requirements at UAF. A list of all courses currently approved for this minor is below as well. If you would like to add other courses, please be in touch with your pre-professional or UIS advisor.

An must be sent to the UIS Department at uaf-interdisciplinary@alaska.edu
