Eduroam configuration for MacOS

Remove a prior eduroam configuration

If you have a prior eduroam configuration on your Mac, remove it first.
Step 1: Open the Profiles panel in Systems Settings  (Profiles will not appear if there are none installed; in that case proceed to installation).

Step 2: Select any eduroam profile in the left pane, then click on the minus sign to remove it (You will be prompted for your device credentials).

Configure the connection

Step 1: Navigate your browser to the to download the installer, or use this QR code: Eduroam QR code.

Optional: To see information about the profile and installation process, click the lowercase i button.

It explains that the profile will install after you click the blue button and that you will be prompted at several points: to accept installation of the profile, accept server certificate authority, and to enter username and password (this will be prompted two times total).

Step 2: Click the large blue button Apple macOS Mojave.

You should see this screen indicating that your download will be ready soon. Use the direct download link if there are any issues.

Optional: Select show profile to view information about the profile configuration.

You should see the following details.

Step 3: Click Continue to complete the installation and provide your UA credentials; remember to add “@alaska.edu” after your UA Username; Password is your standard UA Password used for UA Online, Google Apps for UA and scores of other applications at UA.

Step 4: You may be prompted to authenticate to allow installation. This dialog asks for your credentials on your Mac – not your UA credentials.

Step 5: After successful installation, the control panel for Profiles will display with an indication of the certificates installed for use with eduroam.
