Equity and Diversity Statements
Including Equity and Diversity Statements in Proposals
A number of the largest scientific grant making institutions have established a conscious effort to fund and promote a diverse workforce, an inclusive research community, and increased exposure to science for underrepresented youth. Incorporating diversity and inclusion themes will likely benefit any grant proposal at the institutions listed below; many of them advertise specific calls for projects aimed at increasing access to science. A few prominent examples from each sector are provided, but this list is not exhaustive.
