Field Geology Part 1

  • Petrology & Petrography (GEOS F214)
  • Field & Computer Methods (GEOS F225) *
  • Stratigraphy and Sedimentology (GEOS F322)

Field Geology Part 2

  • Petrology & Petrography (GEOS F214)
  • Field & Computer Methods (GEOS F225) *
  • Tectonics (GEOS 309)
  • Structural Geology (GEOS F314)
  • Paleobiology and Paleontology (GEOS 315)
  • Stratigraphy and Sedimentology (GEOS F322)

with a minimum grade of C in each class. All students must have Junior Standing and permission of instructor. The deadlines are chosen so that the Fall grades are already assigned. Students who can prove that they are taking a missing prerequisite course in the Spring semester prior to Field Camp are eligible to apply.

Non-UAF students should have taken similar courses that cover these subjects. Please contact the Field Camp Director to see if your courses qualify. Submission of syllabus is helpful to determine if topics are sufficiently covered.

* Not a requirement for non-UAF students if your program does not offer a Field Methods class.
