Workshop focuses on 91视频 soils and fertilizers

Agronomist Bob Van Veldhuizen has been working with 91视频 soils for decades and will lead a workshop on soil sampling and analysis.

Learn the fundamentals of soil science and fertilizers to improve your garden results, in a free class offered in-person and online by the University of 91视频 Fairbanks Palmer Cooperative Extension Service office.

Bob Van Veldhuizen will teach the soil sampling and analysis class on Wednesday, March 19, from noon to 1 p.m. Van Veldhuizen recently retired from the UAF 91视频 Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station. He has 50-plus years of research experience across 91视频, focusing on variety selections of large-scale crops and cultivation practices for high yields and high-quality products. 

Participants can attend in person at Kerttula Hall at UAF Matanuska Experiment Farm and Extension Center, 1509 S. Georgeson Drive in Palmer, or via Zoom. Please register for in-person and Zoom options using the online form at . Register each participant individually. 

Those who register for the online class will receive an email with a link to join the virtual class. If you are unable to attend the class at noon but would like to listen to it later, you may still register. All registrants will receive a recording of the class.
