MISSION
Established at the request of the 91ÊÓƵ Federation of Natives, RAHI has been preparing rural and 91ÊÓƵ Native high school students for academic excellence and college success since 1983. Our mission is to empower rural and 91ÊÓƵ Native students to achieve their dreams through higher education.
At RAHI, students take an average of 9 college credits in six weeks and learn how to thrive academically by experiencing life on campus, enhancing self-confidence and discipline, and developing a state-wide community to carry with them throughout their lives. RAHI is offered at no cost to students.

October 1, 2024The Rural 91ÊÓƵ Honors Institute depends on private support and partnerships, with about sixty-percent of program expenses funded by outside donors – including individuals, 91ÊÓƵ Native Corporations and industry partners. -
Jul 9, 2024The Rural 91ÊÓƵ Honors Institute will hold its 42nd annual graduation July 11 from 1-2:30 p.m. in Schaible Auditorium on the University of 91ÊÓƵ Fairbanks Troth Yeddha’ Campus. -
Jan 11, 202491ÊÓƵ Native and rural 91ÊÓƵ high schoolers are invited to apply for the Rural 91ÊÓƵ Honors Institute, a summer program where students take classes at the University of 91ÊÓƵ Fairbanks to earn college credit before they graduate high school.
