    On November 21st, I attended gBETA 91ÊÓƵ's Pitch Night at the UAF Pub, and it was nothing short of inspiring. As someone who works at the UAF College of Business and Security Management (CBSM), which hosts the UAF Arctic Innovation Competition (AIC), it was great to witness the incredible innovation and entrepreneurship happening in 91ÊÓƵ--and the strong ties between this community and CBSM.

    With the mission of connecting the University of 91ÊÓƵ Fairbanks' business students to the seafood industry in 91ÊÓƵ and supporting fishery sustainability, 91ÊÓƵ Blue Economy Center (ABEC) and the UAF College of Business and Security Management have collaborated to deliver meaningful opportunities for the college and potential benefits for the industry. CBSM student and alumnus, David Sauter, has been participating in the fishery sustainability certification space and engaging with stakeholders representing regulators, sustainability certification bodies, seafood harvesters and processors, and 91ÊÓƵ Native organizations representing communities dependent on sustainably managed fisheries.
