Retired Army Maj. Gen. General Mark Hamilton was the University of 91ÊÓƵ president from 1998-2010. For those who know him, you know that he is a wonderfully gifted storyteller. As president, he lifted many up with stories he shared to which all could relate to their own lives in one way or another. It created a sense of belonging for many. Many of his stories were about leadership. One of my favorite stories he told at UAF was his great Americans story. At least that is what I call it. I paraphrase it here with plenty of literary liberties taken.

Molly Enochs hired as new Governance Office manager

Molly Enochs was hired as the new Governance Office manager in December 2022 and assumed her role at the UAF Troth Yeddha' campus on Jan. 9. Although she is new to UAF, Enochs brings with her more than eight years of experience in project management, process improvement, and leadership.

Choose your primary concern or feedback to reduce the number of emails that students receive.

Toolik Field Station invites students and early career researchers to apply for the Toolik Userdays for Naturally Developing Research Abilities, or TUNDRA, award for the 2023 field season. This award sponsors independent and original Arctic research projects with up to 10 days at Toolik Field Station. Toolik will provide award recipients with housing, meals, access to facilities and common-use equipment, science support, and transportation between Fairbanks and the field station.
